If you’d like to schedule a routine check-up for when things settle down, you can secure your spot now!

How to best prepare for a big weather event:

Pet Medication:

  • If your pet takes daily medication, please keep at least a one-week surplus on hand.
  • Please request a refill by calling your nearest GSV location.

Pet Foods:

  • Ensure you have enough pet food for at least 7 days. If your pet requires a specific prescription diet, please call us to order immediately.
  • Fill multiple water bowls ahead of time and keep a surplus of water on hand (ie fill your bathtub) just in case.

Pet Identification:

  • Ensure your pet wears a collar with an ID tag that includes your phone number.
  • Keep your pet’s microchip details up to date by entering the microchip number at petaddress.com.au. If you don’t have the number, we may have it on your pet’s medical file.

Emergency Care:

  • In the event that our business hours are affected, OR if your pet requires emergency care outside of our regular hours, please call the Animal Emergency Service (34 Goggs Road, Jindalee) on 3715 9999.

Additional Information:

Displaced Wildlife:

  • Wild weather events can leave wildlife injured, disoriented, and in need of help. If you come across displaced or injured wildlife, the best course of action is to take the animal directly to the RSPCA Wildlife Hospital at 139 Wacol Station Rd, Wacol 4076

Stray Animals:

  • We are more than happy to scan any lost pets brought to our hospitals to help reunite them with their owners. However, we are unable to hold or house stray pets for the foreseeable future.
