Role Overview: As a Junior Veterinary Nurse, you will play a crucial role in assisting our experienced veterinary team with various clinical and administrative tasks. This is an excellent opportunity for those who are either newly qualified or currently enrolled in a Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing and are eager to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic hospital setting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist veterinarians with medical procedures, treatments, and surgeries.
• Provide compassionate care to animals, including monitoring their health and well-being.
• Perform routine clinical tasks such as taking vital signs, administering medications, and preparing treatment rooms.
• Support the veterinary team with administrative duties, including patient records and appointment scheduling.
• Maintain a clean and organised work environment, ensuring compliance with hygiene and safety standards.
• Communicate effectively with pet owners, providing them with information and support.
• This role will require weekend work.

Qualifications:

• Currently enrolled in or completed a Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing or equivalent.
• A genuine passion for animal care and a desire to learn and grow within the veterinary field.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Basic knowledge of veterinary practices and procedures is advantageous.
• Ability to handle animals with care and maintain a calm demeanour in high-pressure situations.
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
