2IC Veterinary Director:

Due to practice growth an exciting opportunity has become available at Greater Springfield Veterinary for a full-time, small animal vet to join our team.

As our Veterinary Director’s 2IC, you will be responsible for assisting in the development and leadership of a team of vets whilst delivering excellent clinical care and customer service within the practice. You will facilitate in delivering on our strategy through fostering a collaborative team who are passionate about our industry and focused on building and maintaining wonderful relationships with our customers.

We are a privately owned group of 3 vet practices consisting of 12 vets and 28 support staff, located 30mins west of the Brisbane CBD.

Our lovely, helpful, experienced & efficient staff are available for support so that you can remain focused on maintaining a high level of patient care – and have enough time to do your best work.

About the Role

Role Location: Springfield, QLD

Role Type: Permanent Full-Time

Key Responsibilities

Be part of a team that is passionate about the vet sector, providing excellent clinical outcomes, and focused on building and maintaining deep relationships with customers, keeping abreast of all key industry information, disseminating to the team, and taking a lead role in representing our veterinarians.

  • You will be rostered for a variety of consult, hospital and surgery shifts (which are spread evenly amongst the vet team).
  • You will be designated a nurse who will be assigned to you on every shift to help with workflow.
  • Driving best practice through education.
  • Actively contributing to the strategic planning process of Greater Springfield Veterinary

About You

To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:

  • BVSc (or equivalent) that is registrable in Queensland, together with relevant experience in general practice and/or emergency & critical care.
  • A kind and thoughtful attitude and the ability to build and foster relationships with staff and clients alike.
  • An efficient working style and the ability to multitask.
