Senior Veterinary Nurse – Full Time or Part Time

At Greater Springfield Veterinary, we don’t offer ‘jobs’ – we offer long-term careers in a place where people genuinely love to come to work. We’re looking for a qualified, clinically skilled, proactive veterinary nurse (Cert IV or equivalent) who is passionate about pets, people, and our industry.
About The Role:
Your expertise, compassion, and attention to detail will be instrumental in supporting our veterinarians, providing education and support to pet owners, and ensuring the smooth functioning of our hospitals.

Collaborate with the veterinary team to ensure seamless patient care.

Proactively advocate for patients, using clinical judgement to support best-practice care and positive outcomes.

Assist veterinarians during examinations, surgeries, and procedures.

Provide support to junior team members, building confidence and positive teamwork.

Conduct nurse consultations and provide education to pet owners about preventatives, post-treatment care, and medications.

Continually uphold our core values and encourage other staff to do the same.
We’re Looking For:

Certificate IV or equivalent.

Flexibility to work a variety of shifts between the hours of 7am and 9pm.

Sound surgical, medical, and practical nursing skills.

A genuine desire to provide excellent client service.

A commitment to animal welfare and to the standards of our profession.

Great interpersonal skills and a high level of emotional maturity.

Proficiency in computer applications and software, experience with Ascend, Smartflow, VetCheck and IDEXX Machines is beneficial.
