We care for pets.
We care for people.
We care for the planet.
Our core values set the standard for our behaviour, our service to pets and their guardians, and our treatment of the planet and one another.
We enjoy a culture of diversity and inclusion. And we do fun stuff.
We strive for open, effective and honest communication. To be clear is to be kind.
Education matters, professionally and personally. Growth is good!
Take responsibility and strive for outcomes.
Is there something more we can do for you?
Care for the world - we’re on the only little planet with love and laughter.
Have an impact. Do good.
Diversity, Equity, Belonging & Inclusion
Each of our people has a full sense of belonging within our organisation and has the responsibility to create and sustain an inclusive environment.
We believe that government laws, regulations and business practices should uphold the principles of diversity, inclusion and equality, and remain committed to a workplace where people can be authentic to who they are, and so be their best, both professionally and personally.
We believe that no one should be discriminated against because of their differences in age, ability, ethnicity, gender, gender identity and expression, religion or sexual orientation.
Our rich diversity makes us stronger – kinder, more innovative and more creative, helping us better serve our clients and our communities.
Respect
We acknowledge the traditional custodians of this land, the Jaegera, Yuggera and Ugarapul peoples, upon whose land we work, and pay our respects to Australia’s first people – and to their elders, past, present and future.
Developing People
By fostering a culture of learning and development, we ensure our team members have the tools and support needed to thrive.
This commitment to up-skilling not only benefits individual employees but also contributes to the overall success and excellence of our veterinary practice.
Sustainability
Greater Springfield Veterinary is dedicated to environmental sustainability and is committed to being a leader on climate action within the veterinary industry.
In following the modules of the Climate Active Program, designed by Vets for Climate Action, our dedicated Climate Care Team has helped our Springfield Hospital achieve government certified carbon-neutrality.
We actively collaborate with several organisations to reduce waste and are committed to using 100% renewable energy at select locations. Our sustainability program aims to reduce water consumption and decrease landfill waste.
Social Impact
We hold a longstanding reputation as a trusted and valued business within the Greater Springfield community.
For nearly three decades, we have served the needs of our community, establishing deep roots and connections that have enabled us to proudly maintain our status as an independently owned business.
We are actively engaged in community initiatives and events, and aim to protect our environment, taking our care messaging beyond the boundaries of people and their pets.
Work-Life Balance
We aim to lead change within the veterinary industry and are committed to supporting our employees in maintaining a healthy work-life balance.
We recognise the importance of safeguarding and improving the mental health of our staff, employing a multifaceted approach that balances the demands of the profession with the personal needs of our staff members.
Cultivating a thriving and positive workplace culture and maintaining a workplace that is enjoyable to ‘be’ in is twofold – our people are happy, and our clients can feel it.
We recognise and pay our respects to the Jagera, Yuggera and Ugarapul peoples as the traditional owners of this land which was never ceded.
