GSV-Vet-1

veterinary DIRECTOR

BVSc (Hons)

CURRENTLY ON MATERNITY LEAVE

I graduated with Honours from the University of Queensland in 2014 and have been with the GSV family since October, 2017.

I love all aspects of general practice and especially enjoy getting to know our pet parents through caring for their pets.

I am also highly passionate about leadership and enjoy assisting our vet team to grow professionally and personally.

When not at work, I enjoy spending time at the gym, hanging out with my husband, playing the latest computer games, exploring new dog walking spots and playing volleyball.

I have a geriatric, anxiety plagued Beagle ‘Cindy’ and a (thankfully!) low-maintenance cat called ‘Sasha’.

Rae is currently on Maternity Leave.

TRAINING AND DEVELOPMENT LEADER

(Medicine)

BVSc (Hons) GPCertSAM

I graduated with Honours from the University of Queensland in 2009 and have been with the GSV family ever since.

My special area of interest is internal medicine (especially endocrinology) – I am currently undertaking additional study towards a Small Animal Medicine Certification.

I enjoy baking, yoga and boxing, and (fun fact) I have a twin sister who is ALSO a veterinarian!

I share my home with my hubby, and ‘Chester’ the Groodle.

TRAINING AND DEVELOPMENT LEADER

(Surgery)

BVSc (Hons)

I graduated with Honours from the University of Queensland in 2007.
I began my career with GSV in 2008.

I’m passionate about the client/vet bond and and strongly connect with our ‘Excellence With Heart’ motto. I aim to deliver excellent all-round GP services.

My main area of interest is dentistry. Oral pain in pets often goes unnoticed – by recognising and addressing issues that are sometimes overlooked, I know I can help to make a big difference in their everyday lives.

Outside of work, I enjoy horse riding, tending to my veggie patch and spending time with my family and Cavoodle, ‘Asha’.

SENIOR Veterinarian

BVSc (Hons)

I graduated with honours from the University of Queensland in 2012. I joined the GSV team in 2022.

My professional interests are dermatology, ophthalmology, internal medicine and animal welfare (which has taken me to some wonderful places on animal health outreach programs including Samoa, Cook Islands, Kiribati and communities in the WA Pilbara).

I am very passionate about helping vet clinics transition to a more environmentally sustainable model of practice and am the leader of the GSV ‘Climate Care’ team.

Outside of work I enjoy bread making, growing as many vegetables as I can and spending time in nature. I share my home with my husband and our two rescue dogs, Marbles and Dolly.

Senior Veterinarian

BSc (Hons) BVSc (Hons) GCSAECC

I graduated from the University of Queensland in 2016. I joined the GSV team in 2024.

Throughout my career, I have worked have worked in a variety of fields including small animal general practice, emergency and critical care, and locum work.  I have also devoted a lot of time to research and study, with highlights including being awarded the Veterinary Public Health and Epidemiology Award, and becoming a published research scientist (2011) on the topic of the metabolic energetics of bioluminescence in Australian glow worms.

I enjoy continuing my education so I am able to maintain the highest standards of care for your pets. I have completed further study in emergency and critical care medicine, and soft tissue surgery.

VETERINARIAN

I graduated with Honours from the University of Queensland in 2019 and began working at GSV shortly thereafter.

I strive to be a well-rounded general practitioner but especially enjoy
soft tissue surgery and dermatology.

Outside of work I enjoy powerlifting, trying (and usually failing!) to grow fruit and veggies and spending time with my hubby.

I am currently owned by a very demanding foster fail Amstaff X called ‘Phee’ and an enormous Bullmastiff called ‘Boris’.

So far, I am loving all areas of the profession, however, I do have a keen interest in ultrasonography and internal medicine, and am drawn towards building the client/animal bond.

In my spare time I enjoy listening to music, video games, playing football and making cocktails for friends (I was able to hone my skills whilst working as a bartender during my uni days!).

I have a rescue greyhound named ‘Clive’ who has shown me just how weird and wonderful the breed can be.
Did anyone say ‘zoomies’?
