Rae graduated with Honours from the University of Queensland in 2014 and has been with the GSV family since 2017.
She loves all aspects of general practice and especially enjoys looking after the client / pet bond.
She is highly passionate about leadership and enjoys assisting our vet team to grow professionally and personally.
When not at work, She enjoys spending time at the gym, hanging out with her young family and playing the latest computer game when she has time to spare.Â
Rae has a geriatric, anxiety plagued Beagle named ‘Cindy’ and a (thankfully!) low-maintenance cat called ‘Sasha’.

Rachel graduated with Honours from the University of Queensland in 2009 and has been with the GSV family ever since.
Her special area of interest is internal medicine (especially endocrinology).
Rachel enjoys baking, yoga, boxing, and travelling – she’s even climbed Mount Fuji!
Fun fact – Rachel has an identical twin sister who is ALSO a veterinarian!
Rachel shares her home with her hubby, ‘Chester’ the Groodle, ‘Parker’ the Golden Retriever and ‘Ren’ the cat.

Karen graduated with Honours from the University of Queensland in 2007.
She began her career with GS Vets in 2008.
She’s passionate about the client / vet bond and strongly connects with our ‘Excellence With Heart’ motto – aiming to deliver excellent all-round GP services.
Karen’s main area of interest is dentistry. Oral pain in pets often goes unnoticed – by recognising and addressing issues that are sometimes overlooked, she knows she can help to make a big difference in their everyday lives.
Outside of work, Karen enjoys horse riding, tending to her veggie patch and spending time with her family and Cavoodle, ‘Asha’.

Bridget graduated from James Cook University in 2013 and joined the GS Vets team in 2024.Â
In 2021, she earned her Veterinary Behaviour Memberships, solidifying her dedication to helping pets often considered ‘difficult’ and supporting the families who care for them. Her goal is to ensure comfort for all pets, whether behavioral or otherwise, so they and their owners can fully enjoy their time together.
Bridget specialises in creating positive, stress-free experiences for pets and their carers during veterinary visits. She also has a great interest in working with senior pets, enhancing their quality of life and helping them thrive in their golden years.
Outside of work, Bridget enjoys spending time with her menagerie of pets, including horses, a cat named ‘Pi’, a Dobermann named ‘Nox’, a German shepherd named ‘Sasha’, and her young family.

Rachel graduated with Honours from the University of Queensland 2017 and joined the GS Vets team in 2021.
Her veterinary interests include general surgery, ultrasonography, behaviour, dentistry and post-operative rehabilitation.
Outside of work Rachel enjoy hiking, water-colour painting and baking.Â
She’s a Springfield local and has recently moved into her ‘forever’ house. The first thing she did after settling in was adopt my dream doggo – a Golden Retriever baby (named ‘Cluedo’) who is a handful!

Originally from Japan, Tomoe graduated from the University of Queensland in 2014. She joined the GS Vets team in 2020.
Her special area of interest is internal medicine and client education, ensuring that each of her clients has all the information they need to care for their pet.
She is passionate about the environment and does her best to live an eco-friendly life – strongly resonating with the motto ‘Reduce, Reuse, Recycle’. We often find her rifling through the bins in the clinic, separating out each little piece of paper for recycling.

Dr Andrew graduated from the University of Sydney in 2010. He has since completed a Master of Veterinary Science in Advanced Clinical Practice through the University of Edinburgh.
Andrew brings extensive general practice experience to the GS Vets team, having worked in busy inner-city practices across Sydney since graduating before moving to Queensland in 2025.
He has a particular passion for diagnostic imaging, especially ultrasonography, as well as cardiology. He enjoys using these skills to investigate complex cases and help provide answers and treatment options for his patients.
Outside of work, Andrew enjoys mountain biking, camping and spending time with ‘Newt’, his 5-year-old rescue cat.
Despite dedicating his career to animals, there is one patient Andrew might prefer to admire from a distance â heâs allergic to guinea pigs!

Sara is a highly skilled veterinarian with a strong focus on surgical procedures. She joined the GS Vets team in 2024.
With a background in veterinary surgery and a surgical membership certification, she brings a wealth of experience to our Augustine Heights hospital on Wednesdays.
Sara is adept at performing a range of surgical procedures, including fracture repairs, patella luxation surgeries, and perineal urethrostomies.
At home, she is kept company by her husband and her two dogs – ‘Bella’ the cattle dog x and ‘Fizz’ the Australian Kelpie.

Sarah graduated from the University of Adelaide in 2019. She joined the GS Vets team in 2022.
Sarah’s special interest is general practice medicine with a big emphasis on ‘wellness’.
She also has a strong passion for the environment and is a proud member of the GSV ‘Climate Care’ team, which strives to make our veterinary hospitals as environmentally sustainable as possible.
Sarah enjoys spending time with her young family, and their Labradoodle, ‘Fig’.

Jono graduated from the University of Queensland in 2020 and started working at GS Vets in 2022.
Jono’s special area of interest is welfare medicine. His career actually began in an animal shelter, which provided wonderful opportunities for him in the areas of surgery and general wellness medicine. He loves feeling like he is ‘making a difference’ – improving quality of life for his patients.
Outside of work Jono enjoy travelling and spending time with his pets, including his cats ‘Belle’ and ‘Jimmy’.

Alice graduated from the University of Adelaide in 2025.
Before beginning her veterinary career, Alice gained experience in a variety of roles, including working in agriculture and at Adelaide Oval, before following her passion into veterinary medicine.
Alice enjoys all aspects of general practice and has a particular interest in surgery and dermatology. She loves the variety that veterinary medicine brings and the opportunity to continue developing her skills across different areas of patient care.
Originally from Adelaide, Alice made the move to Brisbane in 2026 for a new adventure and to begin the next chapter of her veterinary career.
Outside of work, Alice loves swimming, hiking, camping and exploring the outdoors. She also enjoys painting and cooking when she gets the chance.

Graduating from The University of Queensland in 2024, Liz worked as a veterinary nurse in specialist hospitals throughout her veterinary studies, gaining valuable experience in referral and emergency medicine before joining our team in 2025.
She has completed a Certificate in Recover® (Animal CPR), has a particular passion for emergency and critical care cases, and anything feline related.
When not at work, Liz loves spending time at the beach, travelling, or enjoying a quiet night at home with a cocktail. Liz is also one of those rare people who doesn’t drink coffee or tea… we still haven’t figured out how she has so much energy!
Her furry family includes her Kelpie cross – ‘Mira’, and cats ‘Millie’ and ‘Luna’.

Ashur graduated from James Cook University in 2023 and joined the GS Vets team in 2025.
Ashur enjoys all aspects of general practice veterinary medicine and finds it incredibly rewarding to support pets through every stage of life, whether that means helping them stay healthy with routine care or guiding their families through more complex medical and surgical needs. She especially values the connections she builds with her clients and their animals, and genuinely loves coming to work each day.
Outside of work, Ashur enjoys crafting, trying new hobbies, and travelling with her partner, who is also a vet.
At home, her pet family includes two cats named ‘Acetyl Co-A’ and ‘Rumples’, as well as any stray or foster kittens she happens to bring home from work.

Dr Zac graduated with Honours from the University of Queensland in 2022 and joined the GS Vets team in 2025.
Following graduation, Zac completed a one-year rotating internship at the UQ Small Animal Hospital before spending two years as a primary care teaching clinician, helping to guide the next generation of veterinary professionals.
Zac has a particular interest in ophthalmology and medicine and enjoys the problem-solving involved in investigating and managing a wide range of cases.
Outside of work, Zac loves climbing and is always on the hunt for a good coffee. At home, he has his own rescue crew â ‘Koda’, a Staffy cross, and two cats, ‘Janice’ and ‘Susan’.

Joanna graduated from The University of Queensland in 2022 and enjoys all aspects of general practice.Â
She loves building strong relationships with clients and believes that helping owners understand their pet’s health is an important part of achieving the best outcomes.
Outside of work, Joanna loves hiking, travelling, and tackling escape rooms. At home, she’s kept busy by her three pets: ‘Rory’, a Labrador cross, ‘Alby’, a Border Collie, and ‘Nitro’, a Domestic Medium Hair cat.
Joanna is a total overachiever (we love her for it!) – she completed the Everest Base Camp trek in 2024, holds a pilot’s licence, and spent four years coaching gymnastics.

Originally from Singapore, Dr Melinda joined the GS Vets team in 2020 after graduating from veterinary school.
It quickly became apparent that Melinda had a natural talent and passion for rehabilitation, particularly helping patients recover following orthopaedic procedures and supporting pets living with arthritis and other mobility challenges.
Melinda is passionate about helping pets move comfortably and remain as pain-free as possible, with a strong focus on maintaining mobility and quality of life throughout every stage of their journey.
Outside of work, Melinda enjoys going to the gym, travelling and spending time with her two dogs, ‘Phee’ and ‘Boris’.

Dr Nicole Wong graduated with Honours from the University of Queensland in 2012. She went on to complete a Master of Veterinary Medicine (Companion Animal) through Massey University in 2017.
Nicole brings extensive general practice experience to the GS Vets team, having worked across South East Queensland. She also dedicated much of her spare time to working in an emergency centre, giving her experience across a wide variety of practices, patients and cases.
Nicole has particular interests in internal medicine, dentistry, feline medicine and preventative wellness. She enjoys taking a well-rounded approach to veterinary care and helping pets stay healthy throughout every stage of life.
Outside of work, Nicole enjoys knitting, crochet and cross-stitch, as well as gardening and spending time with her children. She also admits to spending a slightly unreasonable amount of time caring for her worm farm!
