Veterinary Team

With a diverse range of specialties and backgrounds, our veterinarians bring a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the table. No problem is too small, or too weird!

GSV-Vet-1

veterinary DIRECTOR

BVSc (Hons)

I graduated with Honours from the University of Queensland in 2014 and have been with the GSV family since October, 2017.

I love all aspects of general practice and especially enjoy getting to know our pet parents through caring for their pets.

I am also highly passionate about leadership and enjoy assisting our vet team to grow professionally and personally.

When not at work, I enjoy spending time at the gym, hanging out with my husband, playing the latest computer games, exploring new dog walking spots and playing volleyball.

I have a geriatric, anxiety plagued Beagle ‘Cindy’ and a (thankfully!) low-maintenance cat called ‘Sasha’.

TRAINING & DEVELOPMENT LEADER

(Medicine)

BVSc (Hons), GPCert (Small Animal Medicine)

I graduated with Honours from the University of Queensland in 2009 and have been with the GSV family ever since.

My special area of interest is internal medicine (especially endocrinology) – I am currently undertaking additional study towards a Small Animal Medicine Certification.

I enjoy baking, yoga and boxing, and (fun fact) I have a twin sister who is ALSO a veterinarian!

I share my home with my hubby, and ‘Chester’ the Groodle.

TRAINING & DEVELOPMENT LEADER

(Surgery)

BVSc (Hons)

I graduated with Honours from the University of Queensland in 2007.
I began my career with GSV in 2008.

I’m passionate about the client/vet bond and and strongly connect with our ‘Excellence With Heart’ motto. I aim to deliver excellent all-round GP services.

My main area of interest is dentistry. Oral pain in pets often goes unnoticed – by recognising and addressing issues that are sometimes overlooked, I know I can help to make a big difference in their everyday lives.

Outside of work, I enjoy horse riding, tending to my veggie patch and spending time with my family and Cavoodle, ‘Asha’.

SENIOR VETERINARIAN

BVSc, MANZCVS (Behaviour)

I graduated from James Cook University in 2013 and joined the GSV team in 2024.

In 2021, I earned my Veterinary Behaviour Memberships, solidifying my dedication to helping pets often considered ‘difficult’ and supporting the families who care for them. My goal is to ensure comfort for all pets, whether behavioral or otherwise, so they and their owners can fully enjoy their time together.

I specialise in creating positive, stress-free experiences for pets and their carers during veterinary visits. I also have a great interest in working with senior pets, enhancing their quality of life and helping them thrive in their golden years.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my menagerie of pets and young family.

Veterinarian

BVSc (Hons)

CURRENTLY ON MATERNITY LEAVE

I graduated with Honours from the University of Queensland 2017 and joined the GSV team in May 2021.

My veterinary interests include general surgery, ultrasonography, behaviour, dentistry and post-operative rehabilitation.

Outside of work I enjoy hiking, water-colour painting and baking.

I’m a Springfield local and have recently moved into my ‘forever’ house. The first thing I did after settling in was adopt my dream doggo – a Golden Retriever baby (named ‘Cluedo’) who is a handful!

VETERINARIAN

BVSc

Originally from Japan, I graduated from the University of Queensland in 2014. I joined the GSV team in October, 2020.

My special area of interest is internal medicine.

I am passionate about the environment and do my best to live an eco-friendly life – I strongly resonate with the motto ‘Reduce, Reuse, Recycle’.

My pet family include ‘Mischief’ (an adopted senior cat), four freshwater catfish, and many indoor
plant babies.

SENIOR VETERINARIAN

BVSc

I graduated with honours from the University of QLD in 2011 and joined the GSV Team in November 2023.

I enjoy being a general practitioner as it allows me to see a variety of animals and meet different people on a daily basis.

My veterinary interests include internal medicine, soft tissue surgery and dentistry.

My home is run by my 4 adopted cats – I even take them for short walks around the garden in the afternoons!

Senior VETERINARIAN

BVSc (Hons) GC-SAUA

Originally from Hong Kong, I graduated in 2013 with Honours from the University of Queensland and joined the GSV team in September 2024.

I have enjoyed practising in various busy clinics in Hong Kong and Brisbane, as well as in animal shelters (where I had the pleasure of helping sick animals get better, and rehoming them to a forever home).

I possess extensive experience in preventative medicine, and emergency and critical care work, and have a great interest in ultrasonography and soft tissue surgery. In 2020, I completed a graduate certificate in small animals abdominal ultrasonography through the University of Melbourne.

Outside of work, my two young children keep me busy (they are definitely more challenging than work!). I also enjoy pilates, scuba diving, playing tennis and travelling.

I speak English, Cantonese and a bit of Mandarin.

VETERINARIAN

BVSc

Dr. Sara is a highly skilled veterinarian with a strong focus on surgical procedures. With a background in veterinary surgery and a recently completed surgical membership, she brings a wealth of experience to our Augustine Heights hospital.

Sara is adept at performing a range of surgical procedures, including fracture repairs, patella luxation surgeries, and perineal urethrostomies.

VETERINARIAN

BVSc

Originally from Scotland, I graduated from James cook University in 2022 and joined the GSV team at the start of 2023.

As a newly graduated veterinarian I am committed to building my experience and and have wonderful mentors within the GSV team who are a great support.

So far, I am loving all areas of the profession, however, I do have a keen interest in ultrasonography and internal medicine, and am drawn towards building the client/animal bond.

In my spare time I enjoy listening to music, video games, playing football and making cocktails for friends (I was able to hone my skills whilst working as a bartender during my uni days!).

I have a rescue greyhound named ‘Clive’ who has shown me just how weird and wonderful the breed can be.
Did anyone say ‘zoomies’?

Veterinarian

DVM

I graduated from the University of Adelaide in 2019. I joined the GSV team in 2022.

My special interest is general practice medicine with a big emphasis on ‘wellness’.

I have a strong passion for the environment and am a proud member of the GSV ‘Climate Care’ team, which strives to make our veterinary hospitals as environmentally sustainable as possible.

My partner (who is also a vet) and I made the move to Queensland in early 2022 to chase the sun and the surf. We are enjoying exploring the state with our fur baby, ‘Fig’ the Labradoodle.

VETERINARIAN

BVSc (Hons)

I graduated from the University of Queensland in 2020 and started working at GSV in 2022.

My special area of interest is welfare medicine. My career actually began in an animal  shelter, which provided wonderful opportunities for me in the areas of surgery and general wellness medicine. I love feeling like I am ‘making a difference’ – improving quality of life for my patients.

Outside of work I enjoy travelling and spending time with my pets.
