TERMS & CONDITIONS – PROFESSIONAL GROOMING SERVICES

By booking your dog in for a professional grooming appointment at Greater Springfield Veterinary you acknowledge that you have read and agree to the following terms and conditions:

General:

  • All dogs must be up to date with vaccinations. If not carried out at Greater Springfield Veterinary, a vaccination certificate must be presented at the time of admission.
  • Please ensure your dog is on leash when entering and exiting the premises.
  • It is your responsibility to inform our grooming team of any known pre-existing conditions such as medical issues, behaviour issues and allergies etc.
  • All dogs must have a suitable temperament for grooming. If you would like to talk to one of our veterinarians about obtaining some anti-anxiety medication for your dogs’ groom, please make an appointment here.
  • We reserve the right to refuse or discontinue grooming services for dogs exhibiting extreme anxiety or aggression to ensure the safety of the groomer and prevent potential injury or psychological stress to your dog. 
  • If we notice fleas on your dog, we will give you the options for treatment and this will be administered by our team, at your expense.
  • Upon collection of your pet, please inspect your dog’s groom and let us know if you would like any changes to be made. We welcome your feedback and are happy to make any changes within 24 hours of your appointment. Changes outside of this timeframe will incur normal grooming fees.

Grooming:

  • The Greater Springfield Veterinary professional grooming team reserves the right to modify hairstyle and price in accordance with coat condition as this is in the interest of your dog’s welfare.
  • All grooming services include a bath, blow dry, nail clip and basic ear clean. We cannot perform any styling or coat clipping unless we have bathed your dog due to excessive wear and tear on styling tools caused by dirty coats.
  • Breed specific clips, de-shedding, and face, feet & tail services require your dog’s coat to be well maintained in order to provide these services.
  • For cases with matting and knots through the coat, a comfort groom service will be offered and coat length may ultimately be short, patchy (where spot mat clipping or combing is performed) and incur additional de-matting fees.

Cancellation:

  • An appointment reminder SMS will be sent to you 48 hours prior to your scheduled appointment. Please respond with Y or N to confirm or cancel by close of business on the day you receive it. 
  • Cancellations made 48 hours or more ahead of the scheduled visit will incur no fee.
  • Cancellations made with less than 48 hours notice, and/or no-shows on the day will incur the full fee of your dog’s groom. 

Payment:

  • Payment is to be made at the time of pick-up. We accept, cash, eftpos, credit card (excluding AMEX).
