Position Overview:

As a Senior Receptionist at Greater Springfield Veterinary, you will provide a vital role in supporting the Customer Care and Relationship Manager overseeing the Customer Care team. You will play a pivotal role in creating a positive first impression for our clients and ensuring their experience with our practice is seamless.

This permanent position is available 30 to 38 hours per week with shifts on a rotating roster Monday to Saturday between 7am and 8pm.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Greeting and assisting clients with warmth and professionalism. 
  • Managing appointment scheduling and reminders.
  • Handling phone calls, emails, and inquiries promptly and courteously.
  • Processing payments and managing invoices.
  • Maintaining accurate client records and files.
  • Assisting with administrative tasks to support the efficient operation of the clinic.
  • Supervising and mentoring junior reception staff.

Role Requirements:

To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and attributes:

  • Proven experience in a receptionist or customer service role in a veterinary clinic or healthcare setting.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in computer applications and software.
  • Compassion for animals and a genuine desire to provide excellent client service to their owners
  • Basic leadership skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
