Our Customer Care Team team is dedicated to supporting our wonderful clients.

Kate. M

Customer Care & Relationship Manager

Cert III AS

Kate joined our team as a junior receptionist in 2020 and quickly showed us her leadership skills, moving into the role of our Reception Manager in 2023.

Kate has her Certificate III in Animal Studies and has previously volunteered with animal rescue groups, from where she adopted her dogs, ‘Mac’ and ‘Bonnie’.

Outside of work, you’ll find Kate showing off her DJ skills and smashing goals at the gym.

Kirsty relocated to Australia from the UK in 2004 where she gained 25 years of experience in customer service. For the past six years, she worked as a retail store manager.

Kirsty joined Greater Springfield Veterinary in 2024, where she has been able to apply her extensive customer service skills to deliver the best service to our customers.

Outside of work, Kirsty enjoys unwinding through gardening, driving through the countryside, and discovering Brisbane’s cafes in search of the perfect almond croissant.

At home, she stays busy as a mum to her three daughters, alongside caring for Maggie, her Cavoodle, and Teddy, her Cocker Spaniel.

Leah. G

Customer Care

Leah brings a unique blend of expertise and passion to her role as a receptionist. With a Bachelor of applied science majoring in Veterinary Technology and a certificate IV in Companion animal Training from the Delta Institute, she has a strong foundation in animal behaviour and a special interest in using fear free practices.

Outside of work Leah enjoys a range of creative and active pursuits including singing, art, aerial silks and Lyra. She loves spending time with her family, her Border Collie and her many reptiles.

Leah is also currently pursuing a career shift, studying to become a primary school teacher. Her diverse interests and dedication to both animals and education bring a vibrant and empathetic approach to her role.

Katie. G

customer Care

Having previous worked in a variety of other industries, Katie joined the GV Vets care team in late 2022.

While working at gsvets Katie was lucky enough to meet Raphiel, a stray through one of the hospitals, who immediately became a much-moved member of the family.

Outside of work, Katie engages in multiple creative spaces, including painting, baking, gardening and taking Raphiel for walk with friends.

Maddie. H

Customer Care

Maddy is a 4th-year vet student who joined GSVH in August 2021 while studying part-time in her 2nd year of veterinary school. She began her journey at GSVH as the 4-8 pm receptionist.

Outside of her studies and work, Maddy enjoys horse riding in her spare time. She shares her home with two beloved pets: Louie, a Bichon Frise, and Harley, a Cavalier.

Emily. W

Customer Care

Emily, who relocated from New Zealand in 2023, is currently studying Paramedicine. All of her previous work, as a vet technician, has involved large animals, including horses, cows, goats and sheep, so to change it up she has been working at our small animal clinic as a receptionist.

Outside of work and study, Emily can be found training and competing in dog agility with her border collie Frankie. If anyone would like to know more about dog sports, she is the person to talk to! Along with dog training she is also an avid horse rider, hiker and camper.

Maddy. L

Joining the team at the beginning of 2023 as a junior receptionist, Maddy has quickly become a valued member of our staff. She is currently pursuing her Bachelor of Education.

Outside of work, Maddy enjoys sewing,and is also a devoted pet owner, often spoiling her beloved mini dachshund, Yogi Bear.

Riley. S

Customer Care

Joining GSVets in 2024, Riley brings a lifetime of animal care experience and a unique bond with a diverse range of animals, from breeding cichlid fish, budgies, cockatiels, mice, and guinea pigs, to specializing in the care of pythons, with 18 years of experience and a home filled with six snakes.

Riley is equally passionate about birds, particularly his beloved parrot, Meko, who he enjoys training and caring for.

Outside of work, Riley loves spending time with their cocker spaniel, Rory, and exploring nature. As an avid zoo and aquarium visitor, Riley’s enthusiasm for animals is truly inspiring.

Our Support Team team is dedicated to running things behind the scenes and providing organisational support to our veterinary and nursing teams.

Kelly. M

Practice Director

BAS

Originally from a 5-Star hospitality background, Kelly joined the GSV team in 2015. It wasn’t long before her exception leadership capabilities were discovered – her whip smarts and commitment to fostering a positive culture propelled her into her current role as Practice Director.

Outside the clinic, Kelly finds solace in camping with her family, volunteers with Scouts Queensland, and spending time with ‘Freya’ and ‘Ollie’ (Border Collies) and ex-clinic cat ‘Indie’.

Victoria. L

Communications Director

Victoria joined our team in 2017, after working as a Veterinary Nurse in general practice and specialist hospitals for over 20 years.

Outside of work, Victoria enjoys spending her time with young family, friends and her cat, ‘Louie the Terrible’.

Mark. C

Media & Marketing

DipBA, BAppMed, MA

Mark has been a customer of Greater Springfield Veterinary since 2012.

Over time, Mark has brought his considerable experience to GSVets for many of our projects and continues to work with us while also embracing the role of a stay-at-home dad.

In his spare time Mark enjoys gaming, fitness, social sport, and playing with his Rottweillers, Luna & Rollo.

Faith. W

Veterinary Coordinator

Faith joined GSV in 2020 after extensive experience in emergency care at AES.

Her primary interests lie in client communication and emergency medicine, where she excels at explaining complex medical issues to pet owners and managing high-stress scenarios.

Faith has a passion for lawn care, dedicating her weekends to perfecting her garden. She is also actively involved in our climate care initiatives

Spending quality time with her family and her beloved dog ‘Yogi’ is a top priority for Faith, and she enjoys creating lasting memories with them.

Hayley. C

Office Coordinator

CURRENTLY ON MATERNITY LEAVE

Hayley joined GSV in 2016 as a trainee vet nurse, and after completing her placement in early 2017, she was offered a nursing position. She has never looked back.

Hayley initially found her passion in emergency medicine and critical care, areas that will always have her heart. After six years of dedicated nursing, she transitioned into an administration-based role. In this new position, she focuses on developing policies and procedures that benefit the team, clients, and patients, with an emphasis on working smarter, not harder.

Outside of work, Hayley is a massive PC gamer, plant enthusiast, and a soon to be mum. She shares her home with two dogs as well as two beloved ‘trash’ kitties, both of whom were rescued and nursed back to health after being brought into their care.
