As a Senior Veterinary Nurse,  you will play a crucial role in delivering the highest standard of care to our patients. Your expertise, compassion, and attention to detail will be instrumental in supporting our veterinarians, providing education and comfort to pet owners, providing support to junior team members and ensuring the smooth functioning of our hospitals on a daily basis.

Role Responsibility:

  • Day-to-day nursing duties.
  • Assist veterinarians during examinations, surgeries, and procedures.
  • Monitor patients undergoing medical/surgical treatment and identifying when a change in care is required.
  • Maintain surgical and treatment areas in line with infection control policies.
  • Provide compassionate nursing care to hospitalised animals.
  • Provide education and support to pet owners.
  • Contribute to a clean and organised environment within the clinic.
  • Collaborate with the veterinary team to ensure seamless patient care.
 

Requirements:

  • Certificate IV Veterinary Nurse qualification.
  • Experience in a veterinary hospital setting is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts between 7am and 9pm, and 2 weekends out of 4.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to empathise with both pets and their owners.
  • A genuine love for animals and a commitment to their well-being.
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to multitask effectively.
  • Team-player mentality and a positive attitude even in fast-paced situations.
